Express Yourself!

At times, we want to discuss a problem or highlight a situation that puts us at a gross disadvantage. Although we don't realize that our issue may be viewed as a concern or complaint, we soon find out from peers that if we don't like something we should just let it go.  Over the course of my life, I have found that this simple suggestion is an easy way out for many people.  Not only does it devalue the issue, it serves as a tool to devalue the person and calm the fears of those who don't want to confront problems.  There are many that will say "Don't make waves...," Be thankful for what you have..., It could be worse..."  While these sayings are appropriate at times, they are often ways to encourage people to settle for less than they desire.  A person will not always get what they seek, but making changes or fighting for a cause do not come without sacrifices.  From the small to the great, history has taught us that if you want anything, you must take action.  Waiting for a bread crumb to fall from the sky is foolish unless you have put in the spiritual and physical effort to make it happen.  The next time you feel that you have a concern, follow a few steps if you need validation:

1.  Verbally state your problem to YOURSELF
2.  Compare the concern to the previous situation or the future situation
3.  Think about the reasons why or why not your concerns are reasonable (basic rights, social             norms, etc.)
3.  Decide if your emotions are an appropriate reaction to the situation
4.  EXPRESS YOURSELF (through the appropriate platform)

Career Readings

Is your career in limbo and you want to know which direction you should take? You are not the only one. I have just as many people asking job questions as I have love questions. I want to give every one a little advice before getting a reading.
Apply for as many jobs as you can and be willing to relocate. The reason that this is so important is that a reader may see many opportunities, but because you are not willing to take them you cannot get the best reading possible. Also be ready to make sacrifices. Yes we do understand that you may have a family and that it takes money to move, but we are messengers. We only tell you what we see. Readers are not magicians that can change your life circumstances. No matter how many times you ask the same question, we can only show you different paths that you can take. Finally, be flexible. You may have been laid off from a $100,000 figure job, but be willing to take a job that only pays $50,000. It's better to have some income than none at all. Swallow your pride and swallow some food I always say :-)
