A Day for Lovers

Many of you are anticipating February 14th in hopes of receiving a special gift. Although there are some who view this as another adulterated holiday twisted by commercialism, the expectations still remain the same. I want you all to remember that placing your hopes on one day out of the year is a potential way of setting yourself up for an extreme day of disappointment. If you are in a loving relationship, the two of you should discuss what you would like to do and plan an eventful holiday. However if you are single, do not expect your ex to suddenly reappear out of the blue to surprise you with an engagement ring. I know the latter example is a a bit exaggerated, but I want to let you know that unreasonable expectations can be emotionally damaging for you. Each day is as special as you make it because you should always love yourself.
